Hernando County Fishing Information (Weeki Wachee, Hernando Beach)
1. Red Snapper Season is open from now until July 24th. You may take two red snapper daily from the Gulf. The minimum size limit for recreational red snapper is 16′ total length.
2. This weekend there is no license needed. We are trying to draw visitors to the Sunshine State and both residents and non-Florida residents can fish for salt water specicies without a license during the weekend of June 5-6th.
3. The fishing has been very good the past week according to Capt. Keith Tomlinson (who reports in the Out & About publication) in Hernando Beach. Hernando Beach is a quiet area of the Gulf located in Weeki Wachee, Florida.
