The Boat Show at the Tampa Bay Fairgrounds
My husband and I drove from Weeki Wachee to Tampa (only 50 minutes) to the Tampa Fairgrounds for the Boat Show. There were no boats outside which was fine with me since it was so hot, but once inside, it was a sign of the times. There were very few vendors there. We go every year. Last year, or possibly the year before, it was at the Tampa Convention Center and it was packed!
This year there were some vendors selling other wares (as in the past) from pots and pans to bathroom remodeling, but most people were not even stopping. Even the salespeople were not motivated. I am sure it is everyone's worry about the economy, that buying a boat is the last thing on their minds.
