Woodland Waters Fling Was A Success
It was like going back 25 years when neighborhoods and people shared food, drink and just enjoyed one another's company.
Woodland Waters is a subdivision off of Commercial Way (Rt. 19) just north of Rt. 50) in Weeki Wachee (also sometimes called Brooksville) Florida, with approximately 405 homes. The Homeowner's Association this year put together their "Spring Fling". They did it at the end of Phase 6 (which has no homes as of yet) and there was plenty of area for the kids to play football, enjoy the DJ that they hired and have a picnic lunch. There were a few vendors there including Julie and I from Tropic Shores; Sun Trust Bank supplied desserts; and another vendor supplied hot dogs, hamburgers and sodas.
They set up tents with chairs and people could just sit around and get to know their neighbor. They also had an antique car show contest. If you had an antique car and lived in Woodland Waters, you parked it and it was judged. Julie and I gave away a gift card, and the other vendors also gave prizes.
It was a real enjoyable neighborhood gathering like you use to see on t.v. Way to go Woodland Waters!!
Woodland Waters' homes must be at least 2000 square feet and sit on at least a half acre lot or more. We have a lake and tennis courts and our HOA fees are only $143.00 a year.
