Updated News on Short Sales
As most of you who read our blogs know, we were never big fans of "short sales". Our Board of Realtors in Hernando County was holding a Continuing Education seminar on short sales. Even though I did not need the credit, Julie and I like to keep as up to date as possible on our industry and I attended.
I did learn a few things today and how to handle the process to make it easier for the seller, and how to move along, hopefully, the lenders.
If you are a seller and are just not sure of the process or if you would qualify, we would like to show you the options you do have. It may not be that you need to sell your house; you may be able to work something out with the banks, and we can help you with this process, even if we do not get a listing. We want to make sure any customer who contacts us gets the service they need because that's how our reputation has been built and we will continue building on giving good service, even if a listing does not come out of it.
If you are a buyer, and can be patient, a short sale can be a good thing for you. You have to make sure your realtor has explained everything to you because this is not just an easy thing. Your realtor has to be knowledgable about short sales and also give you all your options.
