Should A Seller Get an Appraisal Before Listing Their Property?
In the past, we would have said "no". Now, it is a good idea. Realtors will give the seller the information to make an informed decision, however, in our ever changing daily market, we are finding that their homes may not even be worth what we tell them and they get angry at the realtor.
We don't make the decision on the financing for a buyer, their lender does with an appraisal. If you get a certified appraisal and the cost in Hernando County is approximately $350-400, you will have what the professionals will be using when you sell your home. The prices have come down significantly and if you are not sure if you want to sell or are sure, this is a great tool for the seller.
